Real World Scenarios - MHVTL to simulate EMC Networker 7.6.1 and Sun SL48
I have a live environment that utilizes Sun StorageTEK SL48 with two HP SCSI LTO4 drives. My server is a Sun X4270 x86 system running Solaris 10. I am using EMC Networker 7.6.1. I would like to simulate as close as possible and was wonder about the library and drive configuration. I went into Device.conf and changed the vendor identification to SUN and the product Identification to SL48 and restart the MHVTL. I say the library come up. I also changed the drives. My question is this, if I have the mhvtl started and reporting the library and appropriate drives, am i to assume that the system correctly came up without me needing the identification String, because I really don't know where to put that either. Any and all guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I made a slight change on my config in my system and the results are as such.

I have the Sun SL48 and I hope this is legit not just showing up as a text marker. If Mark reads could he assist me in validating that this would work as I want to move forward with the subject solution.
