Solaris iSCSI inititiator and IBMtape driver

pedjag
I've successfully configured iSCSI connectivity to our MHVTL/TGT VTL and our Solaris system using the solaris vanilla "st" and "sgen" drivers.
But when trying to install TSM and using the IBMtape drivers there seems to be partial failure.

The IBMtape driver loads but while loading it takes a long time, resulting from possible retries when initializing.

Logs show several of the following messages:

Nov 11 11:38:41 soltsm622 IBMtape: [ID 107833 kern.notice] NOTICE:  IBMtape      _probe: Found Tape Drive     ULT3580-TD3     , Inst    3, Tgt   6, Lun   4

create_cmd: scsi_init_pkt failure

seems scsi_init_pkt is a struct that prepares the scsi packet, could this be a problem with IBMtape not able to properly communicate with the tape/libraries, or is this an iSCSI encapsulation issue?

Any help would be greatly appreciated
