issue with scst 3.2 with linux kernel 4.11.12 iscsi client

kumarcraja
First of all thanks to the community forum ...

We are trying to use mhvtl 1.5.4 with scst stack version 3.2 with linux kernel version 4.11.12. We are able to compile and install and work locally successfully. We are able to use mhvtl locally with mt and mtx command line tools.

When we are importing device with iSCSI protocol and access it from client system ( both windows and linux client) the devices are not showing. The connection is success from client side but device is not showing.

In mhvtl iSCSI server dmesg output we are seeing kernel panic ( BUG: unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at 00000000000003d8) log.

Extract of dmesg is attached here for reference

mhvtl_scst_dmesg.txt

Unable to understand what is going wrong ...

Please help us to resolve the same ...

As communicated via email, the kernel oops is all related to the scst driver.
The stgt iSCSI driver works, wich eliminates the mhVTL code as being the culprit.
If you want to continue using the scst driver, I can only suggest you look into that code for a fix.

Cheers
