load problem in my CentOS 5.4

dear members:
     I installed mhvtl-2010-9-01.tgz in my CentOS 5.4 today.
     When i run this command to load:
     
     mtx -f /dev/sg11 load 1 0

     I got this error message:

     mtx: Request Sense: Long Report=yes
     mtx: Request Sense: Valid Residual=yes
     mtx: Request Sense: Error Code=70 (Current)
     mtx: Request Sense: Sense Key=Hardware Error

     i don't know what these mean.

     and following is the status of /dev/sg11

Have you configured the drives properly?

The tapes with a label ending on S3 are SDLT tapes (if I am correct), so you should configure the drives as SDLT drives, default is LTO drives. Have a look into the docs.
