mhvtl and oracle secure backup

victor_mhvtl_2011
Hello,
Trying to run mhvtl 1.5.2-f514366 with oracle secure backup 10.4.0.3.0.
I can define library and tape drive to osb, but can't use tape drive:
ob> lsdev
library             lib01            in service
library             lib02            in service
  drive 1           tape21           in service
ob> lsdev -g tape21
Warning: no hardware info is available for drive tape21 - device is busy
tape21:
    Device type:            tape
    Model:                  [none]
    Serial number:          [none]
    In service:             yes
    Library:                lib02
    DTE:                    1
    Automount:              yes
    Error rate:             8
    Query frequency:        [undetermined]
    Debug mode:             no
    Blocking factor:        (default)
    Max blocking factor:    (default)
    Current tape:           [unknown]
    Use list:               all
    Drive usage:            none
    Cleaning required:      no
    UUID:                   9a28f1ce-50c2-1032-88eb-080027cab75d
    Attachment 1:
        Host:               oraclelinux6.localdomain
        Raw device:         /dev/sg15
    Connection type:        [unknown]

ob> loadvol -D tape21 -m write 1
Error: can't execute command - device is busy
In /var/log/messages, I saw:
Nov 18 14:55:41 oraclelinux6 vtllibrary[5003]: CDB (694) (delay 405): 1a 08 1f 00 18 00
Nov 18 14:55:41 oraclelinux6 vtllibrary[5003]: spc_mode_sense(): MODE SENSE 6 (694) **

How to deal with device busy?

Regards
Victor

Re: mhvtl and oracle secure backup

Hi,
I found what's the root cause of the problem.
When I config new virtual library, I also use tgtd to export the library devices via iscsi. When I stop tgtd or stop sharing library devices via iSCSI, the "busy" message never occurred.
I wonder if there can be any menu choice in mhvtl console that give me choice which virtual library I would like to export via iSCSI.

Regards
Victor
